Invitation to participate in SingTel i.Challenge 11 (20th June, 2011)

Through , SingTel is canvassing for a new generation of mobile business applications that is tablet-friendly and enterprise-centric. The convergence of web, mobile and cloud computing has been driving enterprises to move their business entirely to a SaaS model, but there is still a gap between making their business applications available through the mobile device. We believe the increasing popularity of tablets with our enterprise customers will result in a greater demand for locally relevant, functionally useful and user friendly apps for business.

The competition is open to any company in the world. It consists of two phases. The first phase is a concept submission (wireframes / mockups etc. just a presentation) which closes by 30 June 2011. 12 finalists will be awarded S$1,000 each, following which they will complete the prototype in time for our big customer showcase. There, they will be judged or taken up by our customers (both Large Enterprises and SMEs from Singapore and the region). Up to 4 grand prize winners will walk away with S$20,000 each and a chance to be brought to market by SingTel.

MSC Malaysia will be organising its 9th edition of the MSC Malaysia InnoTech Venture Capital (VC) Pitching on 28th and 29th June 2011. To date, the programme has brought in significant successes, with more than 48 companies having received funding over the last 3 years. About MSC Malaysia InnoTech

MSC Malaysia InnoTech is a platform and an opportunity for you to pitch to multiple VCs and Angel Investors from both local and regional markets at one go. Invitation to participate in Malaysia Services Exhibition (MSE2011) in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (17th – 20th April 2011)

Pursuant to the success of MSE 2008, 2009 & 2010, MATRADE will be organising the Malaysia Services Exhibition (MSE 2011) in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates from 17 – 20 April 2011. The event will be held in parallel with City Scape and City Build Abu Dhabi 2011 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).

2. The objectives of MSE 2011 are to:-
(i) Promote services from Malaysia to West Asia and surrounding regions (North Africa & CIS countries);
(ii) Further enhance the visibility of Malaysian services capability and expertise;
(iii) Brand Malaysian services by showcasing Malaysian companies achievements in the international arena; and
(iv) Provide an avenue for Malaysian services providers to network and forge strategic alliances with their potential clients or partners overseas.

3. MSE 2011 will be highlighting Malaysian expertise and capabilities under six (6) Clusters namely:
(i) Construction and Construction Related Services;
(ii) Professional Services, Energy & Power Generation;
(iii) Oil & Gas Services;
(iv) Environment Management Services;
(v) Information and Communication Technology (ICT); and
(vi) Specialised Training and Business Services.

4. In view of this, MATRADE would like to invite your company to participate in MSE 2011. The participation fee is RM1,000.00 per company, (to be paid by crossed cheque made payable to “Ketua Eksekutif MATRADE”). The fee will be used to cover the administrative costs in arranging the event. Please find below the MSE2011 participation form. 6. Companies that are categorized under Small, Medium Enterprises (SME) are eligible to claim 50% reimbursement grant under Market Development Grant for Services Providers (MDG SP) for the following activities for MSE 2011:
• Participation Fee;
• Economy class airfare for two (2) persons. Claimable expenses do not include items such as visa fees, excess baggage, insurance premium and agent collection fees;
• Two (2) hotel standard rooms not exceeding RM200 per night per room for local international trade fairs (for fairs held outside the state where applicant is located) and RM1,000 per night per room for overseas fairs. Claimable expenses do not include breakfast, taxes, etc. Payment will cover the duration of the event and two (2) additional days.

To qualify for the grant, MSPs must be:
• Registered as MATRADE Member;
• Incorporated under the Companies Act 1965, or Sole proprietors and partnerships (defined as firms) registered with respective professional bodies;
• At least 60% equity held by Malaysians;
• Services associations are also eligible; and
• Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

* Definition of SME (for Services Sector)
Having an annual sales turnover not exceeding RM5 million (for firms based on the latest financial audited account; for sole proprietor/ partnership based on management account/company account/income statement) OR not more than 50 full – time employees (based on latest EPF Statement)

Malaysia Pavilion at CeBIT 2011, Hannover, Germany (1st – 5th March, 2011)

CeBIT 2010 featured 4,157 exhibitors from 68 countries and a total of 334,000 visitors from all over the world visited the exhibition.
