Programme Manager Erika Forsell graduated from University of Helsinki, Faculty of Social Sciences, where she specialised in intercultural encounters and social psychology having a focus on the Southeast Asian Region in particular. Her deep rooted interest in the region quickly led her way to Indonesia and Malaysia as she followed her passion to work for a more integrated ASEAN Region. Prior to joining TeAM, Erika has served in the government, private, as well as non-government sector globally in countries such as Indonesia, Djibouti, India, Finland and Malaysia, being responsible for the programme management of a number of diverse projects. The experience has shaped her interest to be focused especially on tech startups that have the potential to grow and scale, and thereby create positive regional economic impact. Currently she heads the TeAM Secretariat in which she is dedicated to support both investors, startups, and ecosystems to connect on a global level.
Deal Flow Manager, Justin’s roots in tech began in London where he was active in East London’s silicon roundabout ecosystem. His tech chapter began through his work for Centre for London, a politically independent think tank for the City of London. In his role, he launched ‘Connecting Tech City’, an initiative to solve youth unemployment through the upskilling of neglected communities in East London for employment in tech companies such as Microsoft. Headhunted in London and upon return to Malaysia, he worked as a business consultant at NEST Consulting across all company projects with a focus on business feasibility as well as industry and market intelligence. Notable projects include the development plan for a solar plant in Philippines and an international online halal e-commerce platform. He also founded The Eco ATM UK, a London-based start-up aimed at automating mobile phone recycling. Justin holds a BSc Business Studies with a specialisation in Finance from Cass Business School.
Kong Chee How
Graphic Designer, Kong Chee How graduated from local IACT College, also known as International Advertising, Communication and Technology College, he specialises in all sizes of graphic design, video editing and photography. Currently, he works with TeAM.
Programme Coordinator, Zera Zeegelaar is an International Business & Languages student from Amsterdam. Originally from Suriname, South-America, she has been in touch with many different people from different countries. Currently based in Kuala Lumpur, she enjoys working with TeAM and travelling to many places to connect startups with investors. Her objective is to graduate in 2018 and continue a Master’s programme abroad or in The Netherlands. Apart from work and school Zera loves cooking and reading thrillers.
