The information and communications technology (ICT) market in the Philippines is projected to increase by 7.6 percent to reach US 3.14 billion and continue to grow driven by the enterprise sector and consumers ICT focus. The ICT hardware market is very price sensitive. For software, local companies have their own IT pool that does in-house programming. Importation of electrical apparatus for line telephony or line telegraphy is under zero tariffs. Importers of all telecommunication hardware must obtain an importation certification from the National Telecommunications Commission.
